If you are looking to offset as much of your electricity bills as possible, your solar energy system will be sized accordingly.

During the day when the sun is shining, your system will normally produce more power than you may actually use at that time. This extra power you harvest during the day will be used at night or on cloudy days when your system is producing little or no solar energy.
